eMethod Inc ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") operates this mobile application ("App").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information that you provide directly to us and information about your use of the App automatically.

A. Information You Provide to Us (Account & Profile Data)

Account Activation: To activate your existing account and provide our services to you, we require your registered phone number and customer name. This information is necessary to perform our contract with you (i.e., to authenticate you and provide you with access to your account).

Optional Profile Information: You may choose to provide additional information to enhance your profile, such as your email address, alternative phone number, physical address, city, state, ZIP code, and "how you found us" information. We use this information to provide more personalized support, improve our services, and understand our user base. Providing this information is entirely optional, and we process it based on your consent.

B. Information Collected Automatically (Technical & Usage Data)

When you use our App, we automatically collect certain information to ensure the App functions correctly, for analytics, and for performance monitoring. This data is primarily collected through first-party logging and common third-party tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) used in Flutter development. This information includes:

Device Information: Data such as your device type (e.g., model name), operating system (and its version), language preference, and general location information (e.g., country or city based on your IP address).
Usage Data: Information about your interaction with the App, including tapped buttons, viewed screens, session length, and other in-app events. This helps us understand feature adoption and user behavior.
Diagnostic Data: Crash reports, error logs (e.g., stack traces from application errors or API connection failures), and performance data (e.g., app start-up time, latency, and rendering performance). This data is crucial for debugging, troubleshooting, and improving the stability and performance of the App.

We want to be clear: This automatically collected data is primarily analyzed in an aggregated, anonymized form that does not personally identify you. It is processed based on our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the security and functionality of our App. If this technical data were to be linked with your personal account information, we would treat the combined data as personal information, safeguarded in accordance with this policy.

C. Information Requiring Your Consent (Device Permissions)

To provide specific features, our App may request your permission to access certain functions on your device. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

Biometric Data (Authentication): Our app may use your device's biometric authentication (such as fingerprint on Android, or Face ID/Touch ID on iOS) as a convenient and secure method to log you into your account. We do not collect, store, or have access to your actual biometric data. All processing for authentication occurs securely on your device and is managed by your device's operating system. We only receive a confirmation of whether the authentication was successful.

Approximate Location: With your consent, we may collect your device's approximate location to provide location-aware features within the App. We do not track your precise location in the background.

Storage Access: With your consent, we may access your device's storage (photos, media, files) to allow you to upload profile pictures or other documents to the App, or to save files from the App to your device. We only access files you explicitly choose to share with the App.

Debug, troubleshoot, and improve the App
Communicate with users (e.g., account support)
To verify your identity using secure, on-device biometric authentication
To provide location-based services (if applicable)
To enable file uploads and storage functionality

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.

No third-party SDKs are currently implemented.

In the future, we may add Firebase (for push notifications) or local in-app store ads. If implemented, this Privacy Policy will be updated.

4. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Access, update, or delete your information
Request a copy of your data
Opt out of optional communications
Manage device permissions (e.g., for location, storage, biometrics) through your device settings

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our App is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 16, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated policy.
